This piece I put together after being incredibly inspired by Mark Boedges, and wanting to do some self study before heading over to a workshop of his last year. I absolutely loved making this piece - I had never tackled water like this before and was so excited to try and capture the silty gold that gets churned up in rapids like these, and was shocked and delighted at how naturally it came. I can’t wait to do more plein air painting along these river and creeks again.
